Confronting your own mortality

"Do you fear your death? If you do, at some level it will affect your ability to appreciate your life to the fullest. You are never too young to contemplate your death. You are never too old to really live."
Graham West, Befriending Death.

Orphan Wisdom - online and in person school

Orphan Wisdom is the home of Stephen Jenkinson’s writing and teaching work - including online and in person intensives. Orphan Wisdom is a teaching house for the skills of deep living and making human culture. It is a redemptive project that comes from where we come from. It is rooted in knowing history, being claimed by ancestry, working for a time we won’t see.

Stephen is a teacher, author, storyteller, spiritual activist, and founder of Orphan Wisdom, a teaching house for skills of deep living and making human culture that are mandatory in endangered, endangering times. He makes books, tends farm and mends broken handles and fences, succumbs to interviews, teaches and performs internationally.

School of Lost Borders - wealth of nature-based trainings

Nature-based programmes that support the practice of living and dying. Wilderness guide Meredith Little and hospice physician Scott Eberle are committed to promoting more understanding about rites of passage within health care, and increasing awareness about the dying practice contained in rites of passage work.  Their dream is to learn what will be evoked by the dynamic juxtaposition of hospice, rites of passage, and the land we live on, that we might each be inspired to live and die more consciously amid these challenging times.
